Magna House is literally only 3 minutes walk from the main shopping street but has its own private parking. There is excellent public transport, with the bus station less than 500 yards away and the railway station 10 minutes walk. Atherstone is located mid-way between Tamworth and Nuneaton and has excellent road links, via the A5, to both the M42 and the M6. The town itself, with a population of 22,000 was known last century as a centre of the hat industry but now has a broad employment base of services and light industry. Every Shrove Tuesday the town comes to a halt for the traditional football game - lasting all day and involving teams of 4 trying to keep an oversize ball in their possession until the the 5pm deadline. No holds barred! The JBA team is already in training for next year. |
