To join JBA and gain entry to our graduate training programme, you must have obtained a recognised and acceptable qualification in a relevant discipline.

Honours BA/BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in the following subjects are of interest to JBA: Hydrology, Catchment Science, Environmental Science, Ecology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Emergency Planning, GIS, Information Technology.

We take your professional and personal development seriously. On joining us, you will be entered onto our graduate training programme.

Our training scheme is based on the specific requirements of the relevant institutions (such as ICE, CIWEM) and designed to give you a thorough grounding in your chosen discipline, both in terms of the range and depth of your experience. A mentor with a keen grasp of the process will be appointed to assist you to achieve the relevant qualification level. Graduates are expected to work towards the required standard of their particular institution to achieve chartership or full membership within five years, or earlier if you have a postgraduate degree.
