Our IT group develops state-of-the-art technology for the collection, processing, storage, management, display and communication of data.

These solutions may be part of a complete system involving other services provided by JBA. Alternatively we can work with client's existing technology to extend and augment functionality - making data accessible on the Web for example.

We help our clients to manage complex geographical information systems in a number of ways including:

• Writing operational requirements, performance, system and user specifications
• Setting up and interfacing databases and systems with environmental and hydrological data
• Using internet technology for data acquisition and access; JBA can design, program and host client's data or work within a client's own IT infrastructure
• Provision of advanced corporate GIS for desktop, web and mobile environments; JBA produce an integrated and proven range of GIS packages which can be customised to meet the client's specific requirements
• Consultancy services, reviewing existing systems, preparing operational requirements, and identifying future development needs
• Interfacing GIS with advanced simulation models; JBA has considerable experience in working with national scale GIS and modelling projects

We also develop management, financial and project information systems.

JBA's applications provide advanced services and functionality based on the most recent technology with a minimum of technical overhead.
